We’ve been told that our new class structures are providing the perfect balance of efficiency, class selection and much riding time for our members.  Our new Vet and +40 Masters classes are especially receiving rave reviews.  Riders of all ranks can run for money, trophies or track bucks.  It is your choice.  Also, the WNYMA has recognized the CRF150 4 stroke mini as being on level playing ground with all 85cc 2 stroke minis, keeping the younger racers happy!  The WNYMA was the first organization in this area to adopt these policies requested by our members.

We are an association of riders, run by the riders.  The WNYMA Board of Directors consists of Novice, Amateur and Expert riders, both young and old.  Many have children that race.  They are the perfect blend of individuals to represent the majority of our members.  They live and breathe motocross racing!  The WNYMA/ WNYSC has been setting the standard for motocross in western New York since 1974!

WNYMA board meetings are open to all active members.  Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of every month.  The next meeting is on September 13th at the Bank of Castile on Rte. 19 in Warsaw at 6 PM.  All members are encouraged to attend.

Did you know that the WNYMA Board of Directors are your elected Rider Representatives?  The WNYMA operates with democratic principles by allowing the members to vote for all individuals who serve on the Board of Directors.

Please don't forget that the WNYMA accepts valid membership cards from all other districts at sign-up.  However, you will not have voting rights, or be eligible for any series and/ or year end awards from the WNYMA.

Membership cards will be available at the race. Please see Shelayne for your card.

Hats off to the fine folks at Pavillion for thinking more about the safety of the majority instead of only a particular group of riders by making changes to the track this past week. I only hope that the other race promoters within WNYMA are paying close attention to the model they are setting by making changes to help riders of all levels: fast, slow, young and old. I feel that if I get hurt there that it as because of my own mistakes and not due to a track design flaw. That same feeling is not with me at some of the other WNYMA tracks that my 10 year old and I have come to so far this year.

Great job Taylors, keep up the fine work!

Ed,

Your original comment is posted. I actually like the idea and plan to bring it up at the next Board Meeting. This website is experiencing some problems. I have to go to Facebook.com and sign in without first attempting to sign on here. Mark Klein is aware of it. I can now see your original post. I should have replied sooner!

Thanks!
Eric Lang

Why was my comment pertaining to having a board meeting at an actual race not posted?? Is this WNYMA's way of making sure only things that the board wants to be shown are up on the site? Did not seem to be a bad idea and I have spoken to many other WNYMA members and they agree that it would be a good thing as well! Also, why is WNYMA still trying to put down "other nearby districts"? Just do the best you can if it is better, word will get out and people will come (back). If it is not, well they will will move on to what they feel are better things.. STOP the politics and grudge match!
