Want to take my 2 1/2 year old son to watch live races, he loves watching supercorss on TV. Is there a website that shows schedules and event locations for races near New York City?

I want to take my young son (2 1/2 years old) to watch motorcross races, he loves watching supercross on TV. Where can I find a website with schedules for events near New York City? Doesn't need to be big fancy races with top racers, anything will do so long as he can see live races.

Ed,

Since it is Memorial Weekend, AIR MX came up this idea for a special event. It is a great experience for riders to have some longer motos similar to Loretta Lynn's. With it being a brand new track, the Saturday morning practice and afternoon single moto is a great idea. This weekend at Savannah, we saw a lot of fast locals that had considerable time on that track. They obviously had an advantage! Arcade will be brand new to everybody and it will be a perfect time for a 3 moto weekend championship. Big Al will definitely step it up compared to an average event, as we saw last year!

With the change to the original schedule for Arcade, does this mean that if you can not make it on Saturday that you can not race? This format was not in the original schedule and seems to be out of place since the rest of the Spring series is already in motion...

Jeff,
Each track has a website that can be linked with the drop down menu. Silver Springs has a website with directions @ www.ssmxracing.com

Feel free to call me if you need any additional information @ (585) 721-3761. I can offer some advice if you are interested in joining the WNYMA and starting racing. The first step is to come watch like you're going to do. Good luck!

Great idea getting the word out on Craigslist about the upcoming event at Silver Springs. I want to get my son into racing, and want to go to a few events first. I just don't know where these places are!! Could you please tell us on your web sight, or on craigslist where the address so folks can print out a map, or do a search on-line for directions to get to these different facilities? Thanx! And look forward to seeing you at these events all summer! JC
